Severy Studios provides thoughtful design solutions that creatively but pragmatically address its clients’ programmatic requirements and lifestyle preferences. From the outset, the firm’s efforts are informed by the client’s schedule objectives, budget parameters, and quality standards such that it endeavors to provide rational building designs that minimize constructibility issues that can adversely impact project schedule, cost and/or quality.
Because each client is unique, the architecture of each home reflects the personality of the owner. To this foundational mix, the firm is committed to site sensitive architecture whereby its building designs acknowledge, embrace, and celebrate the defining attributes of its clients’ special properties.
Severy Studios’ proven design methodology and grounded prioritization capabilities translates to an efficient process whereby a client’s design objectives can be cost effectively translated into a client approved design. Clients also benefit from the principal-to principal service the firm provides throughout the entire project lifecycle.

Firm Profile
Dana Severy's focused involvement in the design of buildings of lasting value and aesthetic excellence dates back over fifty years. His degree in architecture was awarded by the University of California at Berkeley. To better position himself to navigate the world of real estate, Dana supplemented his undergraduate degree with an MBA from UCLA with a major in urban economics and real estate finance. This academic foundation, combined with his deeply held passion for architecture, provided the solid basis to launch what turned out to e a distinguished career. His well-regarded portfolio includes site sensitive projects mostly located along the scenic coast an in Sierra Nevada mountains of California, and mountain resort communities in Montana and Vermont.
Over the years, Dana has often also been directly involved in the development of quality residential, resort hospitality, and commercial projects. In this role, he has had the good fortune to collaborate on numerous occasions with some of the nation's leading architects which has further honed his design sensibilities and capabilities. Moreover, this experience with a variety of real estate asset classes provides Dana with a seasoned familiarity with a wide range of construction types and building systems, which provides added perspective with respect to proactively evaluation design strategies and value engineering options.
